Maui's Real Estate Market Today

Affordable housing on Maui is still high on the list of citizen concerns. The substantial drop in real estate values has helped make homes for Maui's workforce more affordable. However, most families are still priced out of the single family home market.

NHOM received $3,000,000 in 2010 from the HUD Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) to purchase and rehabilitate abandoned foreclosed homes for resale to income qualified families earning no more than 120% of area median income as community land trust homes. We have acquired, rehabilitated and resold 12 desireable single family homes to date, and more are being rehabilitated at this time.
